SFS Architecture conducted a building condition assessment, feasibility study and concept design for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas for use in a parish-wide capital campaign. Following a successful capital campaign, a team lead by SFS provided renovation services to reconfigure the ceiling and predella, open the upper portion of existing windows, widen the entry, replace entry doors, add skylights and an ADA lift, and introduce new lighting, stained and etched glass, baptismal font, pew cushions and finishes.
In addition, the SFS team modified HVAC vents and duct routing, integrated audiovisual improvements, and implemented structural improvements for the new ceiling and predella skylights and entry doors. Narthex improvements include ceiling repair and new wall finishes and flooring.
