People

The heart of our firm is our people and culture. Today it’s represented by more than 35 individuals from diverse backgrounds, including registered architects, architectural graduates, interior designers and support staff.

Process

Each project begins and ends with discovery: an organization’s unique needs, a community’s character and aspirations, and the details that spark the “big idea” behind each design.

Sustainability

We pursue human health, energy efficiency and environmental stewardship in five key areas.

Clients

For over 50 years our client-focused process has resulted in architecture that connects beauty with function and our clients’ vision with reality.

Awards

Our work has received hundreds of design awards from industry organizations such as the American Institute of Architects, International Interior Design Association and Historic Foundation of Kansas City for excellence in design, craftsmanship and artistry.

History

Mike Shaughnessy, Mike Fickel and Bill Scott founded their namesake architectural firm in downtown Kansas City, Missouri in 1973.
