BerganKDV

BerganKDV is a business, financial and technology solutions company with nine office locations throughout the Midwest. In early 2021, they made the decision to consolidate two locations in Kansas City into one office near I-435 and Holmes in the Executive Hills East Office Park. As the architect for the landlord, SFS Architecture was engaged to provide test fit, space planning, permit drawings (including MEP consultant and coordination) and construction administration services. In addition, BerganKDV hired SFS directly to provide FF&E design services.

BerganKDV provided the program needs and SFS worked with their representatives to create a plan and design that accommodated the program within the 13,000 square foot floor plate. The tenant desired a space that provided a balance of private offices and open workstations, along with a variety of meeting, collaboration and focus spaces. Incorporating informal, soft seating areas along with a vibrant breakroom allows employees to eat and socialize in spaces that offer a more casual perspective while also doubling as meeting areas if desired. A wellness room provides a private space where employees can take time out to tend to personal health needs.

SFS worked with BerganKDV representatives to select all furnishings for the space, coordinating with the local furniture dealership for specification and order details. Selections included private office desks, workstations, conference tables, seating throughout the space and breakroom furnishings and appliances. In both the architectural material selections and furniture design, SFS worked with the client to incorporate their branding colors and other corporate standards to bring cohesiveness with the company’s other locations, while also designing for elements that are unique to the Kansas City team.
