Based upon the results of a feasibility study conducted by a team lead by SFS, the City of Blue Springs, Missouri determined that purchasing and renovating an existing 76,000 square foot recreational space was the most economical way to provide much needed recreational amenities to the community. Features include multi-activity courts, an artificial turf soccer field, two walking tracks, spinning and aerobics space, fitness center, locker rooms and concessions. Additional amenities include a meeting room, indoor play area, child watch area, party rooms and recreation department offices.
The Fieldhouse is part of the Carson Ross Community Recreation Complex, which includes the Blue Surf Bay Waterpark (also designed by SFS), allowing for joint use of facilities to save on administrative costs.
