Economical design and furniture solutions leveraged to create modern workspace for Federal agency serving U.S. Veterans

SFS collaborated with GSA’s Heartland Region and the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to create an innovative, modern workspace for 99 employees relocating from leased office space to the 8930 Ward Parkway Federal Building. The new workspace offers a professional work area comprising workstations, touchdown workstations and private offices, ranging in size from 60 to 115 square feet each. Some workstations are dedicated to individuals, while others are shared stations due to assignments requiring some staff to regularly work in the field. Environmental graphics throughout the space express values important to the agency’s mission. SFS provided project design and furniture specifications for the 10,000 SF renovation. All furniture conforms with GSA FIT program guidelines.
