Reynolds Journalism Institute

University of Missouri – Columbia

A state-of-the-art learning and research center for MU’s top-ranked Journalism Program

Two historic buildings on MU’s historic Francis Quadrangle were connected and transformed into a modern educational facility with fully integrated technology amenities to accommodate current and future faculty, staff, students and visitors pursuing journalism studies and research. The 47,000 square foot facility occupies two existing buildings connected via a new “Link” addition that incorporates the pristine use of red brick, detailed stone accents and ornate slate roofs found in the surrounding historic buildings. Inside, labs, classrooms, lecture halls, meeting rooms, library facilities, office spaces and other resources provide modern amenities with a user-friendly aesthetic and easily accessible technology. The result is a building that creates continuity and a sense of place within the Quadrangle while enhancing the School of Journalism and the overall campus.
