Strategies to preserve limestone veneer panels and coping stones of 1950s era academic building

A visual assessment of the limestone veneer panels and coping stones of the building facades comprising Pummill Hall, which was built in 1957, was completed. The final report documented the existing masonry conditions and provided recommendations for preservation treatments, monitoring and maintenance of the stone panels with repair quantities so the owner may obtain an accurate cost opinion, as well as best practices for masonry cleaning, repointing and repair. In addition, SFS also completed a visual assessment of and recommendations for two concrete ramps and schematic design level repair details for the deep soffits over the two main entrances on the north elevation of Pummill Hall.
