Overland Park Fire Station 41 Hosts Uncoupling Ceremony

Jun 28, 2024

Today, city leaders and community members gathered at the Overland Park Fire Department's reconstructed Station 41 for an uncoupling ceremony. The new station replaces the original after it served Overland Park, Kansas for 50 years.

SFS designed the new 16,000 square foot, four-bay, three-company station to be gender neutral, promote firefighter health and wellness, and be a beacon of environmentally stewardship with a photovoltaic system that will provide 75% of the station’s electrical consumption. During construction, our team converted a city-owned bath house adjacent to the station’s property for temporary use to maintain continuous operations for the community.

SFS was on-hand to celebrate the occasion and give congratulations to the entire project team.
