Today, city leaders and community members gathered for a groundbreaking ceremony at the Overland Park Fire Department's site for the new Station 41. The new station will replace the original after it served Overland Park, Kansas for 50 years.
SFS designed the new 16,000 square foot, four-bay, three-company station to be gender neutral, promote firefighter health and wellness, and be a beacon of environmentally stewardship with a photovoltaic system that will provide 75% of the station’s electrical consumption.
SFS was on-hand to celebrate the occasion and give congratulations to the entire project team.
