Missouri Department of Conservation Regional Headquarters

The Missouri Department of Conservation Regional Headquarters provides a variety of spaces to support its operations, including classrooms, work rooms, wet lab, mud room, locker room, offices, workstations, employee breakroom and storage. The facility integrates sustainable design features such as geothermal HVAC, photovoltaic solar power, local and recycled materials, and an efficient building envelope utilizing high-performance glazing and structurally insulated panels.

The building incorporates a sustainable materials, systems and technologies.

A maintenance facility is designed to meet the department’s functional needs while also integrating with the natural site. Elements include drive-through vehicle repair bays, shop area, vehicle wash, hazardous materials storage, materials storage and ten vehicle storage bays.

The site incorporates prairie restoration, native landscaping, pervious pavement and sedimentation control, stormwater control, minimal site disturbance and low-impact development concepts. Educational exhibits are provided to communicate news and educate the public about important conservation activities.

The site incorporates educational exhibits informing visitors of conservation activities.
