An existing 5,200 SF building was renovated to provide a new police station for the Basehor community. The City also purchased 1 acre of land to the west of the building for which SFS provided a master plan concept for future department growth, firing range and the potential co-location of City Council and Municipal Courts functions. The new station includes a community/training room, interview rooms, evidence storage and processing that meets proper chain of custody requirements and CALEA standards. Associated site work included new drives and covered parking for patrol to accommodate 20 sworn officers, civilian staff and marked department vehicles.
