Project Architect

 

SFS is seeking qualified Project Architects responsible for executing design intent, collaboration, and oversight of other supporting roles. Project Architects are the individuals who are most directly engaged in all technical aspects of the project and may lead a team or provide direct production of technical documents.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee design integration of building components and systems.
  • Lead the coordination of design work with consultants.
  • Present and solicit feedback and/or approvals from project stakeholders.
  • Issue meeting minutes for all meetings involving project stakeholders.
  • Review local, state, and federal codes to determine impact to design and construction.
  • Lead and coordinate the development of the project manual and specifications.
  • Actively manage the internal design and technical collaboration process including scheduling charrettes, critiques, and quality control reviews.

  • Lead the implementation of sustainability criteria.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Registered architect with 7-10 years of experience in highly-complex project types for public clients
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
  • Work efficiently and effectively balancing demands
  • Strong technical skills

 

Bonus Skills

  • Proficient in SketchUp and Rhino
