Laura Burkhalter
Laura grew up on a farm that has been in her family for over a century, and raised cattle to help pay for part of her college education. She chose to focus her career on design because she wanted to help create meaningful and functional spaces for people to live, work and play. Laura loves to make things, and is usually in the middle of multiple craft projects. She’s also very active in her beloved historic neighborhood, Southmoreland, home to some of Kansas City’s most treasured institutions.
