Interior Designer
SFS Architecture is seeking an interior designer to work within our highly collaborative and design-oriented firm, where interior design is integrated with architectural projects from the outset. The ideal candidate is organized, passionate about great design, and eager to take on a variety of design tasks. This position will work closely with clients to develop programming data, prepare and deliver design presentations, prepare construction documents and perform construction administration duties, among other tasks. Strong communication and computer graphic skills are required.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop workplace strategies.
- Prepare programming data.
- Develop space plans and test-fits.
- Prepare technical drawings.
- Support client communications in interviews, workshops and presentations.
- Incorporate sustainable materials and initiatives into projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in design, interior design, interior architecture or architecture.
- 6+ years of workplace, adaptive reuse and/or renovation project experience.
- Design background in commercial interiors (public and civic project experience is preferred).
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Sketchup and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough understanding of accessibility and regulatory requirements.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- NCIDQ certificate holder, Registered Interior Designer or Licensed Architect.
- LEED AP and WELL Certification is a plus.
